How drugs are brought by drug mules into a country

Drugs do more harm than good to the body. They are known in various names as shabu, marijuana, cocaine, heroin, etc. A government envisions a strong, healthy and drug-free citizenry so it enacts laws and prescribed rules and regulation to safeguard the life and health of its people. It bans the manufacture and sale of drugs. It apprehends its citizens- users and pushers- and put them behind bars so that they’ll amend their ways and lead normal lives free from drug addiction.

Prohibited drugs may be brought to a country from without. It may come from countries far or near. It may come by any means of transportation- by air, land or sea. That’s the very reasonwhy checkpoints on the road networks and strict inspection on airports and seaports are done to check for drugs and other contraband.

Drug trafficking flourished because there’s a high demand for them by drug users. Members of syndicates who have sharp thirst for easy money consider this as a golden opportunity to amass wealth. These greedy people think hard of ways to circumvent and violate drug regulation just to deliver their goods to intended recipients. It has been discovered that packets of drugs have been sewed into the abdominal cavity of big fishes, stuff toys and even into live pets such as a dog, etc. All these are done to elude entry points.

However, it is lamentable to say that human beings are utilized as couriers to bring drugs to intended buyers from other countries. Of course, they are paid for accepting the assignment. People- who are in distress and badly needs money-including Filipinos bites the offer, hook, line and sinker. Reports have it that drug syndicates prefer Filipinos, especially women as drug couriers because of the kind of accommodating manner they possessed. People used by syndicates as couriers to carry drugs to places- for instant, China- are called DRUG MULES.

To deliver drugs to China is easier said than done. China, like other countries, has stiff drug laws. Offenders are either hanged or shoot at by firing squad while others languished in jails for years. That is the very reason why Filipinos among other nationalities are in death rows in Chinese jails.

As mentioned earlier, drug syndicate, particularly the Nigerian prefers Filipino women whom they marry for convenience first, then turned them into drug mules later on. HOW ARE THESE DRUGS BROUGHT TO CHINA? Drug mules both sexes are made to swallow the drugs to evade detection by airport authorities. At designated places after passing the airport the drugs are excreted among other wastes. A drug mule may collect US$1,000.00 to US$3,000.00 after a successful trip

Compared to her male counterpart, the females has plenty of rooms where to hide the contraband. If her stomach is already full of the illegal drugs, she’ll be forced to hide more of the drugs in her sex organ and rectum. Drugs are dipped in okra juice to ease difficulty of swallowing the drugs.

In an operation done in China, a female Filipino drug mule was caught with 8 capsules of heroin lodged in her sex organ, 48 in the rectum and 11 in her abdomen after an x-ray was conducted.

However, the most embarrassing fact reported is these drugs originates from Afghanistan, then swallowed by a Pakistani who excrete the drugs in Malaysia, then the drugs are washed with a toothpaste before a Filipino drug mule swallowed the same drugs to run the last and final lap of the illicit and disastrous drug business

I am requesting that this hub be made as a reference material for 3^rd and 4^thFilipino high school students so that they’ll have an added insights about drugs outside of their texts.
