Stories about big snakes of varieties anaconda, python and boa constrictor swallowing or eating people, cow, hippo, goat, others have been going on for years. They come in pictures, in videos but with little explanation on the what, where, when and how of the kind of phenomenon presented. Thus they can be branded dubious especially if they come without the senders’ name and address.

Take the following cases. Picture 1 (r) is said to be the content of an e-mail which show a giant snake heavy and full of a human being which it swallowed whole in the Amazonian rainforest. The story goes that a sleepy member of a land oil rig went out to take a nap somewhere. He went missing. A search was conducted and they found a serpent unbelievably big and heavy with something. They ripped open the stomach of the snake and out came the legs and lower body of the victim as shown in picture 2 (r). This picture is said to have been contributed in June 2001.

(Video) Snake swallowed in and poke out whole hippo

Another equally interesting but hard-to-believe phenomenon is this story of a gigantic snake which swallows everything horns, legs and body of the hippopotamus as depicted in Video 2 at right. Uploaded by you tube on March 7, 2008, this video shows the hippo whole as it being regurgitated by the snake after swallowing it. It’s a fact that snakes can unhinge their jaws to swallow and accommodate gigantic prey. For video source and more info, click URL here.
